Luxury Accommodation in Rutland – About the 5 star Rectory Cottage
The cottage was converted from the Georgian stable during 2012-13. It has been furnished to a very high standard in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The ground floor consists of an open-plan living room and kitchen, in a relaxed New England style with a limed oak floor, along with a separate stone-floored dining room. Both rooms have under-floor heating, and the bespoke kitchen offers granite surfaces, a butler's sink, full-size fridge and freezer, dishwasher and microwave, along with the full range of cooking items, crockery, glasses, etc.
As you sit on the sofa facing a limestone fire place, you can watch the 3D TV, with satellite channels and a 3D Blu-Ray player. A selection of DVDs, books and games is available, along with information and tips on good places to visit in the area. Free WiFi is available throughout the cottage.
If you wish to walk out of the french doors, you will find yourself on the terrace. Sit and have a drink, with tables, chairs and cushions provided.
Alternatively, walk from the sitting room into the dining room. A limed oak table seats six, and a glazed wall looks onto the cottage's courtyard, festooned with wisteria and box. On a summer evening, fold back the conservatory doors and enjoy the courtyard's atmospheric lighting.
Off the dining room there is a small washing room, with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing board, etc.
There is a small under-stair cupboard for you to put your coat and boots in, then up to the master bedroom suite. This room has a lovely feel, with its white-washed exposed beams. This room consists of an American queen bed topped with a Wool Room alpaca duvet and a hand-made oak headboard. Upstairs includes it own satellite TV, along with a full wall of wardrobe space, iPod docking digital radio and hair dryer. The ensuite bathroom has a walk in wet-room shower and full size bath, heated towel rail and vanity mirror, and is finished in limestone tiles.
