Rectory Cottage is a grade II listed building that has recently been converted into a private luxury holiday cottage. It has a wonderful New England feel, after the owners stayed in Nantucket and decided to recreate that sophisticated, relaxed atmosphere.
The cottage is situated in Rutland, in the village of Tinwell, two miles from Stamford. We are within easy reach of tucked away towns like Oakham and Uppingham. In 2013 Stamford was named ‘The best place to live in Britain’ by the Sunday Times. The Georgian architecture of the limestone buildings have led it to be described as the ‘Finest stone town in England’.
